kissing Kissing is considered is one of the most romantic way to express love and desire. Researchers claim it to have pain relieving effect, but very few people know that it can be fatal if kissed while lipstick is put on.

Most Lipsticks contain a small amount of lead. Lead has been banned in paint since 1978 because of its toxicity at low levels, but it still shows up in small amounts in some of the best-selling lipstick brands. It gets accumulated in the body increasing the level of Lead Exposure to human beyond safety limits over time. While females who put on Lipsticks are most vulnerable, males also get exposed to it while kissing.

The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, which did an analysis of a study of lead in lipstick conducted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, wants consumers to know that most of the 400 different lipsticks tested were positive for the substance

Five of the nine lipstick brands with the most lead are sold by LOreal , the worlds largest cosmetics maker. LOreals ‘Color Sensational’ Pink Petal had the most lead of any lipstick tested at 7.19 parts per million. Lipsticks pose no safety concerns for the millions of women who use them daily

Tribal Women refuses to marry without Sanitary Toilet

Posted: 16 Feb 2012 10:33 PM PST

A very interesting and daring act of a tribal woman from Betul district in Madhya Pradesh has come up who refused to go to her in-laws unless a sanitary toilet was constructed there.

When 23-year-old Anita got married to Shivram Narre on May 13, 2011, she got the shock of her life as there is no toilet at her in-law’s place. As there were hardly any lavatories in the village either the villagers would go to open field to relieve themselves.

Anita Narre’s insistence on having a toilet at her in-law’s place not only compelled her husband to take up the issue with Panchayat at his native in Jheetudhana in Betul district but also made Sulabh International adopt Anita’s village for its Total Cleanliness Drive.

Anita has not only emerged as the role model for the cause but also become a brand ambassador for the cleanliness drive.

“We have decided to award Rs five lakh to Anita for taking a bold initiative and risking her marriage for the sake of a toilet,” Sulabh’s Chairman Dr Bindeshwar Pathak told. “This will definitely motivate other Indian girls, specially in villages, to ensure that when their parents marry them they must see that there is a toilet at their in-laws place,” said Pathak who will soon publish a book on toilets in 24 languages. He would provide five copies each of the book to all the panchayats of the country.

twitterTwitter is now officially open to advertising. Small Businesses can buy and place ads on World’s no. 1 Microblogging site. It is also an answer to Twitter’s Long Term Business Startegy.

Since 2010, Twitter’s in-house sales staff has sold “promoted tweets” to large businesses on a case-by-case basis. The company spent last year developing a self-serve system that could handle a far greater volume of ad transactions and, in November, opened the system to a small number of clients for testing.

Officially launched on Twitter’s website on Thursday, the new service is limited to merchants and advertisers who use American Express cards. Twitter will open the service to other cardholders in the coming months.

The rollout comes at a critical phase in the company’s development and will be closely observed by investors and analysts curious to see if the company will go public anytime soon.

Founded in 2007, the San Francisco-based company lets people send 140-character messages, or tweets, to groups of followers. The company has more than 100 million active users and a valuation topping $8 billion, even though it has not yet established a money-making model.

Co-founder Jack Dorsey said in January that Twitter’s “business model has been in development for some time and it works.
